About US

We specialise in engineering recruitment.

Which means we understand our market inside and out, and focus on what we're good at. It's important to us that we give our clients - whether they're candidates or employers - the specialist engineering recruitment knowledge and top class service they deserve. It just wouldn't be fair to operate in any other way.
Here's a quick timeline of how we got to where we are today:

  • 1985 - Ian starts his career in recruitment at HMS (Paisley)
  • 1987 - Ian moves to Bertram Personnel as a Branch Manager progressing rapidly to Opening Branch Team Manager
  • 1990 - Ian starts his first recruitment business Alexander Contracting Services Ltd and quickly increases his workforce
  • 2001 - After 10+ successful years Ian agrees to merge his highly successful business with Recruit Plc.
  • 2007 - Ian launches MAA International in Motherwell, Lanarkshire
  • 2013 - The brand is given a fresh new look and website

What we do

Recruit and employ
There are two main strands to our business:1.  We act as a recruitment agency providing permanent staff to businesses
2.  We act as an employment agency providing temporary staffing solutions

Contracts, skills and specialties
We provide all levels of temporary, permanent and fixed contract candidates to many engineering industries. These include oil and gas; aerospace; precision; manufacturing and nuclear. We do this from our offices in Motherwell, South Lanarkshire and throughout the central belt of Scotland.

Perfect balance
We pride ourselves on taking the time to understand the needs of our clients.Whether you're a candidate looking for a job or a recruiting employer your needs are equally important to us.

Our MD explains
'There has to be a perfect balance between all parties involved - the candidate, the employer and the agency - otherwise the process just won't work'

Protecting you and us
We're a member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and follow its code of conduct. We also observe the principles of the government's Agency Workers Regulations which came into force in October 2011.
