Production Manager

MAA Recruitment are looking for a Production Manager for our client based on Coatbridge.  Our client are a leading manufacturing company that modify diesel engines for their clients in a variety of locations throughout the world.  Our client are looking for a Production Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process.  Our client have their headquarters in USA and operate £50m business pver 30Ksqft within the plant in Coatbridge.

Nitty Gritty:

  • Permanent Role
  • Based in Coatbridge
  • Very competitive salary
  • Require a minimum of 5 years experience in a Manufacturing Production role
  • Good IT skills especially in Excel
  • Able to produce reports for the management team
  • A leadership style that is strong with an emphasis on motivating and dealing with people in an open, fair and transparent way, along with a coaching style of management

What are they looking for:

A Production Manager with a proven track record in production management and a deep understanding of the manufacturing process

Strong leadership with a preference for a coaching style of management

A formal qualification in either Business Management or Manufacturing Management but obviously experience would outweigh this

Experience in working within a highly regulated industry

Proficient IT skills, especially in Excel

Clear understanding of project management 

Proven track record of deliverting performance enhancing projects within a culture of continous improvement

A sound understanding and the importance of UK Employment Law and HR best practice

Knowledge of lean tools

Purpose:

As a Production Manager, being responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process.

Lead the operational labour force every day

Design and implement a Manufacturing Plan to optimise financial performance and delivery on time to customers

Design and implement efficient and effective processes and set operational targets

Responsible for the quality of product

Embrace diverse and evolving customer requirements, reacting positively through planning to meet those needs

Lead and promote daily collaboration with Purchasing and Stores

Fully integrate with the wider management team and foster professional relationships with colleagues and support functions to align with company’s strategic direction

Ensuring efficiency, quality and safety standards
